江承熹

目前就读于南洋理工大学工程系的江承熹，在2005年参加了新传媒主办的演艺新人选拔赛《明星偶像》。他凭着自然的演技和不俗的外型，从数千名参赛者中脱颖而出成为季军！这次的选拔赛以非常新颖的方式举办，观众的电话投选百分百决定了比赛成绩。

比赛结束后，承熹立即获得新传媒的合约。在短短的4个月之后，他就受到戏剧组的重用，让他在《百万宝》里与新传媒的首席阿哥阿姐李南星郑惠玉合作，饰演李南星的弟弟，也就是剧集里的第二男主角。这部《百万宝》在2007年初的时候还是收视之冠呢！

承熹和阿哥李南星拍戏的时候非但不会生涩或怯场，而且表现稳健、具大将之风。这一年的优秀表现，让他获提名《红星大奖》最佳新人。

Introduction

Kang Cheng Xi is a Singaporean actor. He first appeared on television recognized through the competition Star Idol. Cheng Xi is best known as the 2nd runner up of the competition.

Star Idol

During the competition, Cheng Xi provided efficient substances. In the semi-finals, he was required to strip down to red boxers on national television during a bed scene where he was asking for sexual intercouse with his on-screen wife.

Cheng Xi plays Alicia Neo's love interest in the interactive drama of Star Idol 'Who Is It', and is eliminated after her.

After Competition

Although 3rd in rank, Cheng Xi is the 2nd to get a contract with Mediacorp, and his first role is a lead/supporting actor in the drama A Million Treasures, which made its debut on 4 December 2006 and aired its last episode on 5 January 2007. Cheng Xi plays Ma Lu, an ex-convict who turns over a new leaf. His first role is felt to be larger and more major than the Star Idol champion - Bryan Wong's first role, although they have yet to star in a television drama together.

Million Treasures

Cheng Xi's first role is Ma Lu, the brother of Ma Da (Li Nanxing). Ma Lu was imprisoned for stabbing a person with a broken beer bottle. The original length of the jail term was 2 years but due to his good behaviour, he was released somewhere after a year. Upon release, Ma Lu was not hired by anyone, and Ma Da hired him to be an assistant in a 5 star hotel under him (Ma Da was the chief chef). However, after two weeks, Ma Lu resigned, along with new friend Xiao Bao (played by Felicia Chin). The two of them created a vehicle roadside stall together.

In a Mediacorp Forum poll, Ma Lu was voted as the second favourite character after Xiao Bao, surpassing veterans Li Nan Xing and Zoe Tay, with 22.5%(as of 1 March 2007) of the total votes.

Trivia

Cheng Xi is a twin brother. He is younger by 5 minutes.

Cheng Xi was noted to be the ugliest contest among the Top 8 during an interview session.

Cheng Xi is best remembered for the scene where he stripped in Star Idol. It was put in his memorial video the night he was booted out.

Cheng Xi appears shirtless twice - the first during Star Idol (see 3rd trivia) and the second in a bathing scene of A Million Treasures. He was supposedly naked but his genitals were not captured on screen.
