该曲的创作灵感来自于黑眼豆豆合唱团创始人威廉姆·亚当斯对语言学的喜爱，他喜欢重复各种单词，所以最初将该曲定名为“Boom Boom Boom”。但在录音的过程中，黑眼豆豆合唱团成员菲姬表示很喜欢“Boom Boom Pow”，这给威廉姆·亚当斯留下很深的印象，所以他最后将该曲定名为“Boom Boom Pow”。
